We are Going Back!!!
Destination: Czech Republic
July 25-August 10, 2011
Dear Friends and Family,
We pray that as the holidays approach this letter finds you content in the Lord and enjoying time with family and friends. We’d like to take the time to share with you about the opportunity we have to return to the Czech Republic this coming summer.
As we write, the lyrics of one our favorite worship songs are going through our minds. The song is Our God by Chris Tomlin. The message of this song is powerful and is a great reminder of who our God is. The bridge states:
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us/ And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
The answer is NOTHING can stop us! For our God is greater! We had the privilege of travelling with a team of ten on Salem Heights Church’s pioneer trip to the Czech Republic last year. We are excited to be co-leading a return trip this coming July. We were blessed beyond measure last camp by answered prayers, and receptive hearts among the students. Each student was introduced to Jesus, some for the first time, and two girls chose to begin a relationship with Him. Please continue to pray for them. We serve an amazing God, and we are excited to do His work and share His love to students in the Czech Republic.
We are blessed by the opportunity that we have been given. We will be working with the same local Czech church we worked with last summer, and with some of the same Czech students. We are looking forward to building relationships with the students we met last year at camp, as well as meeting new students. Just like last year we will be running an Evangelical English Camp organized by Josiah Venture (A Christian organization that reaches out to the youth of Eastern Europe, www.josiahventure.com.). We love the work God is doing in this part of the world, and we are seeking God’s direction about serving full-time with Josiah Venture.
Currently, we are in the process of building our team, and we will begin meeting regularly with them in January. You might be thinking, “This is December, and summer is so far away. Why are you sending me this letter now?” BUT before you set down this letter, and don’t pick it up for another four months, just let us explain. Our team’s goal is to raise the funds for our plane tickets by January 31, so we can focus the majority of our training on preparing for camp instead of fundraising. Would you like to help us get to the Czech Republic?
Here is a way you can help us make our goal of raising $2,600 by January 31. We will be traveling 6,556 miles to get to Prague. That’s roughly $40 per 100 miles. If 66 people gave $40 or if 26 people gave $100 we would reach our goal. Beyond the initial cost of the airfare, we will need to raise the remaining $1400 by July 1st. We know God is able to provide, and we pray that you would be blessed by this opportunity to invest in eternity.
More important than financial support is having you committed to praying for us.
Please pray that as the team comes together that we would be unified. Pray for the church in Počernice as they are reaching out to students and inviting them to camp. Please also pray that our team would be a bold witness and that the message of Christ will fall on soft hearts. If you’d like to receive prayer updates please let us know by e-mailing us at TMDady@gmail.com.
If you’d like to send a tax-deductible donation on our behalf please send a check made out to “Salem Heights Church” with our names on the memo line. The church’s address is 375 Madrona Ave South, Salem, OR 97306.
Thank you for taking the time to read about what God is doing in our lives. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail us or call us at 541-951-2804. We’d love to hear from you.
In His Hands,

We Made It!!!
Monday, July 26, 2010
Here We Go!
O church, arise and put your armor on;
Hear the call of Christ our captain;
For now the weak can say that they are strong
In the strength that God has given.
With shield of faith and belt of truth
We’ll stand against the devil’s lies;
An army bold whose battle cry is “Love!”
Reaching out to those in darkness.
Our call to war, to love the captive soul,
But to rage against the captor;
And with the sword that makes the wounded whole
We will fight with faith and valor.
When faced with trials on ev’ry side,
We know the outcome is secure,
And Christ will have the prize for which He died—
An inheritance of nations.
Come, see the cross where love and mercy meet,
As the Son of God is stricken;
Then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet,
For the Conqueror has risen!
And as the stone is rolled away,
And Christ emerges from the grave,
This vict’ry march continues till the day
Ev’ry eye and heart shall see Him.
So Spirit, come, put strength in ev’ry stride,
Give grace for ev’ry hurdle,
That we may run with faith to win the prize
Of a servant good and faithful.
As saints of old still line the way,
Retelling triumphs of His grace,
We hear their calls and hunger for the day
When, with Christ, we stand in glory.

We’re married!!! And God is doing exciting things in our lives. This summer, He has given us the opportunity to help lead a team of five adults and five students to the Czech Republic. We are really excited that our home church, Salem Heights, wants to partner with the ministry of Josiah Venture, the organization that we plan to serve with full time. Salem Heights is excited to be our sending church when that time comes and this is a BIG step forward. Praise God!
A rich spiritual heritage is part of the Czech history, including Jan Hus, a reformer who inspired Martin Luther, and the Moravian Brethren, who in a period of 20 years accomplished more missionary work than the entire Protestant church in the 200 years preceding.
In spite of this heritage, the forced domination of the Catholic Church during the 1800’s and the powerful impact of communism during the 1900’s have produced a nation that is profoundly secular and quite skeptical of religion. Some say it is the most atheistic nation on earth, with the highest percentage of people convinced that God and a spiritual world does not even exist.
This trip will not be possible without your help. Here is how you can get on board:
Prayer Team
We are asking people to consider being a part of our prayer team that would intercede for us as we prepare for the trip and serve overseas. We are asking each team member to commit to praying for us consistently and would appreciate you considering this strategic ministry on our behalf. Some specific ways you can be praying for us is team unity, travel safety and that the Satan’s strongholds in the hearts of the students would be broken down through the power of the Gospel. Having just gotten married, this will be our first overseas adventure as a married couple. Please pray for unity between us and growth as a couple as we learn to serve the Lord as a team. If you are interested in being a part of this team, please e-mail us at TMDady@gmail.com.
Financial Support Team
Along with the prayer team, we also need to develop a team to assist with the cost of this mission trip, the cost for both of us to go is $4100. It is our desire to not approach this summer internship in our own effort solely, and having you assist us in the area of finances is a way for you to help us attain that goal. Any financial donation you contribute is tax-deductible. If you feel God is leading you to be a part of this ministry with us, you can direct your support to:
Salem Heights Church
375 Madrona Ave S
Salem, OR 97302
The check should be made out to Salem Heights Church, and on the memo line of your check, please write Tim and Mary Dady, so the money goes towards our trip, and not the general fund.
Thank you for considering being a part of this opportunity. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail us at TMDady@gmail.com or call us at 541-951-2804. We look forward to hearing from you.
In Christ,
Tim & Mary
