Who We Are

I've been working on this list for quite a while, and is complete to the best of my ability. If you find anything that is missing feel free to leave in a comment and I will add it to the list. As you can see there are two lists, the first list deals with who we were before we meet Christ. The second list shows who we are now and some of what we have since becoming followers of Christ. I hope this is an encouragement to all of you as you read through and are reminded of who you are in Christ.

Who we were:

~Dead in our trespasses and sins – Ephesians 2:1, 4

~Followers of the course of this world – Ephesians 2:2

~Follower of the prince of the power of the air – Ephesians 2:2

~Sons of disobedience – Ephesians 2:2

~Lived in the passions of our flesh – Ephesians 2:3

~Carried out the desires of the flesh and the mind – Ephesians 2:3

~By nature children of wrath – Ephesians 2:3

~Gentiles in the flesh – Ephesians 2:11

~Separated from Christ – Ephesians 2:12

~Alienated from the commonwealth of Israel – Ephesians 2:12

~Strangers to the covenants of promise – Ephesians 2:12

~No hope – Ephesians 2:12

~Without God in the world – Ephesians 2:12

~Far off – Ephesians 2:13

~Darkened in our understanding – Ephesians 4:18

~Alienated from the life of God – Ephesians 4:18

~Callous – Ephesians 4:19

~Given up to sensuality – Ephesians 4:19

~Greedy to practice every kind of impurity – Ephesians 4:19

Who we are/What we have:

~Blessed in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places – Ephesians 1:3

~Chosen in Him before the foundation of the world – Ephesians 1:4

~Holy and blameless before Him – Ephesians 1:4

~Predestined for adoption through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of His will – Ephesians 1:5

~Blessed in the Beloved – Ephesians 1:6

~Redeemed through His blood – Ephesians 1:7

~Forgiven of our trespasses – Ephesians 1:7

~Lavished with the riches of His grace – Ephesians 1:7-8

~Obtained an inheritance – Ephesians 1:11

~Predestined – Ephesians 1:11

~Praise of His glory – Ephesians 1:12

~Sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it – Ephesians 1:13-14

~Raised up with Him and seated with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus – Ephesians 2:6

~His workmanship – Ephesians 2:10

~Brought near by the blood of Christ – Ephesians 2:13

~No longer strangers and aliens – Ephesians 2:19

~Fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God – Ephesians 2:19

~Being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit – Ephesians 2:22

~Fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel – Ephesians 3:6

~To put off our old self, which belongs to our former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires – Ephesians 4:22

~Set free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death – Romans 8:2

~Received the Spirit of adoption as sons – Romans 8:15

~Children of God – Romans 8:16

~Heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ – Romans 8:17

~Never separated from the love of Christ – Romans 8:38-39

~Sanctified – I Corinthians 1:2

~New Creation – 2 Corinthians 5:17

~The ministry of reconciliation – 2 Corinthians 5:18

~Ambassadors for Christ – 2 Corinthians 5:20

~Alive in Christ – Colossians 2:13
